The Western Panther Golf Team competed in the MHSAA Region 9 Regional Championship on Tuesday at The Coldwater Golf Course.  With their season on the line, the Panthers showed up in a big way firing a team score of 307!  That score secured a second place finish to Vicksburg (305) and punched their ticket to the MHSAA D2 State Finals at the Meadows at Grand Valley State University.  Taking home medalist honors and leading Western was Bentley Coon, who shot an impressive 4 under 68.  Following Coon was Andrew Boldt who fired a two over par 74, good enough for a 4th place finish overall.  Rounding out scoring for the Panthers was Tony Miller (81), Bailee Porter (84), and Charlie Stevens (87).  Western will have some time off to sharpen their games before heading to Allendale, MI on June 5th and 6th for the State Finals.  Best of luck, Panthers!
