Last night our freshman girls took on Marshall at home for our first game back in a while. After a nice break we were able to get a short day of practice in and right back into the swing of things. Going against Marshall, we knew they had the numbers that we didn’t so we were ready to play hard and for the entire game. In the first quarter we were down by a little bit 3-9 and we were a little flustered and the speed of which we were going to have to play this game. In the second quarter we went into halftime down 5-17. At the half each girl knew what needed to be done. We made a plan and intended to execute it. After the half we came out with a little bit more drive we closed the gap a little bit but we’re still down 8-31. Our hope was to make more points in the fourth quarter and we absolutely did that. We ended the game with a loss 15-37. Our girls played hard and did their best the whole game and we hope to come back next week and play Dewitt at home on Tuesday. Please come out and cheer us on!
