The Western Panthers battled hard but came up short in a 51–42 loss to Marshall on Tuesday night. The Panthers stayed competitive early, trailing just 25–23 at halftime after a strong first half of play on both ends of the floor.
The game turned in the third quarter, where Marshall went on a decisive run, outscoring Western 17–4. Despite defensive efforts, the Panthers struggled to find their rhythm offensively during the stretch, creating too large of a gap to overcome in the final quarter.
Chance Pangborn led Western with 14 points, providing consistent scoring throughout the game. Isaac Gernand added 10 points, while Andrew Parrott contributed 6 points. Roarke Watterson, Andrew Boldt, and Jayden Willis each chipped in 4 points as the Panthers continued to fight until the final buzzer.
