In day two of the winter tournament at Comstock, our Western Lady Panthers took on Lakeview. We had a long wait in between the boys game and our game so we had a lot of time to plan and make goals for our team and for ourselves. We came out fighting for points in the first quarter. We ended the quarter tied 6-6. It was a close game and we played tough to keep the ball in our hands to give us more shot opportunities. In the second quarter we ended with 10-10. At halftime we made a plan to go out and drive and take shots in the middle of their zone to get more points. While it took some getting used to at first, we ended the third quarter down 17-24. However, we were determined to win. We were eventually able to drive, shoot, and draw fouls to our benefit to shoot free throws. This led us into a great fourth quarter holding the other team to just one point. We ended the game with a win 35-25. It was a great game for our girls and every player left it all out on the court. Our top scorers were Peyton with 25, Kennedi with 7, Nevaeh with 2, and Aniah with 1. Thank you to everyone who came and watched. We extremely appreciate the support.
