On Monday, the #9 Western Panthers Girls Tennis Team defended their I-8 Conference crown with their 5th consecutive championship.  The team won 53 out of 56 possible points which placed them 6 points ahead of second place Coldwater and 17 points ahead of third place Harper Creek.  Flight champions were 1 singles Dru Porter, 4 singles Ellie McCollum, 1 doubles Becca Brushaber & Chehek Bharatiya, 2 doubles Kiiona Carmody & Sophia Nguyen, 3 doubles Karly Foster & Anna Wilcox and 4 doubles Silvia Baker & Anna Willinger.  Ali Carmody finished second in the 2 singles flight and Natalie Hyde finished third in the 3 singles flight.  Next up for the Panthers is the State Finals at the University of Michigan on May 30-31.  Let's go Panthers!
