The Junior Panthers close out conference play by splitting with Hastings.

Game 1 was scoreless until the 4th inning when the Panthers started to click with Bennett Luke scoring on a pass ball. Then in the 5th inning the Panthers put up 5 runs. Easton Hendricks led the hitting with 2 hits. Luke, Isaiah Norwood, Chase Budd, Aaron Chapko and Ben Decker all added a hit. Isaiah Norwood took the mound going 6 innings, he didn't give up a hit and struck out 11. Final score Western 6 - Hastings 0.
Game 2 had Hasting get 5 runs in the 3rd inning to take control, they would add 2 more runs in the 4th. Finally in the 6th inning the Panthers started to claw back, picking up 3 runs. Needing 4 more runs to tie things up the Panthers had their work cut out for them in the bottom of the 7th. Western was able to add 2 more runs but fell short and dropped game 2 by a score of 5-7. Isaiah Norwood and Ben Decker collected 2 hits each, Elijah Norwood added a hit as well. Elijah Norwood pitched the last 4 innings of the game, he had 7 strikeouts and only 1 walk.
The Panthers travel to Hanover-Horton Tuesday for a non-conference matchup.
