Western Women’s Track and Field competed yesterday in a challenging JV Invite at Jackson High.  The ladies gave it their all, some finishing out their season with PR times/distances while some others look forward to one more chance to shine next week. 

Notable performances from yesterday: Miracle Buchanon placed 2nd in shot put with Avery Gillmore, Jackie Hamon and Juliana Raffin throwing PR distances; In long jump, Emma Wells, Autumn Friend, Ryella Murphy and Reagan Keena jumped PR distances with Suzanne St. John scoring a Season Best (also placed 4th in high jump).  Running event PRs include Kaytlynn Sawyer, Emma Wells, Alexa Elser, Autumn Friend and Camila Villa in the 100 (Suzanne with SB), Yuli Zuniga in the 200 (Suzanne with SB), and Laurel Clevenger Grimsely in the 800 (Mallory Rice with SB).  

The team is looking forward to competition again on Friday at Regionals then Tuesday at the I-8 Conference Championships.
