We have tied Chelsea in the past but never beat them. Even with one flight defaulted and everyone moved up we still won 6-2. Great job Western JV ladies for defeating Chelsea for the first time in my 6 year coaching career. Proud of everyone working hard for this terrific win. Western’s 2 Singles of Taylor Bradley won easily 6-1, 6-2. 3 Singles of Rheonna Watson fought back in a super tiebreaker to win 6-2, 0-6 (10-7). All doubles won in some hard fought matches with more tie breakers. 1 Doubles of Kaia Bruneel and Jynelle Lewis won easily against some tough opponents, 6-2, 6-4. 2 Doubles of Mara and Sylvia Bivens fought back to win in a super tiebreaker after losing the first set in a tiebreaker, 6-7(4-7), 6-3, (10-6). 3 Doubles of Emma Kennedy and Rajanya Ghosh fought back to win in a super tiebreaker also, 1-6, 6-1, (10-5). Francesca Canziani and Dominique Brewer won easily in a 8 game proset of 8-4. The JV boosted their record to 14-2-0. Up next for the JV Panthers is on Tuesday, May 13, they will travel to Mason to close out their season with matches beginning at 4:00 pm. Go Panthers!
