On Saturday, the #9 Panther girls tennis team played in the Portland quad and won the tournament by 3 points.  Western was victorious over fourth place Williamston (8-0) & third place Portland (6-2) and tied second place #3 in Division 4 Traverse City St. Francis (4-4) to capture 18 points.  Undefeated flight champions were 1 doubles of Chehek Bharatiya and Grace Smith, 2 doubles Kiiona Carmody and Sophia Nguyen, 3 doubles of Anna Wilcox and Karly Foster and 4 doubles of Anna Willinger and Silvia Baker.  Flight runner ups were 1 singles Dru Porter and 4 singles Ellie McCollum.  This improves the team's overall record to 12-4-2.  Next up for the Panthers is their last regular season match on Monday at home versus Stevensville Lakeshore at 4:00 pm.  Let's go Panthers!
