It was a warm, blustery Tuesday evening as Western hosted Marshall and Northwest in a double dual meet, and won, 105-58. For the Panthers, as multiple meets happen during double duals and tri-meets, the meet that counted for league standings was the with Marshall. Western travels to Northwest next week for a league dual meet that will also serve as the Mounties’ senior night.
William Melton won the 110m hurdles just before Jayden Willis took charge of the flat track events with a breakout performance of 11.66 in the 100m dash. Michael Brant won the 200m, Ryan Good won the 400, and Edison Lopeman won the 800m.
In the relays, Brant, Melton, Titan Parker, and Evan Craddock won the 4x200. In the 4x100m relay Willis teamed up for the win with Parker Yokom, Demarcus Hill, and Adam Carlson. Seth Good, Lopeman, Isaac Fullerton, and Ryan Good won the 4x400m relay.
Corvell march also had a breakout day in the high jump, where he cleared 6’-0”. Karter Knack won the long jump and Carlson won the pole vault. Brennan Vainner won both the discus throw and the shot put.

This Friday the Panthers will send contingents to both the Saline Golden Triangle and the Stockbridge Invitational. Meet information sheets are attached.
Next Tuesday the team will travel to Northwest and on Thursday they’ll host Pennfield. Next Saturday they’ll send a group to the Railsplitter Invitational at Ypsilanti’s Lincoln High.
