JV Baseball sweeps Coldwater!

The junior Panthers hosted Coldwater Tuesday for a I8 matchup and came away with 2 wins.
Game 1 had the Panthers take care of business quickly in 3 innings winning
15-0.
Chase Budd tossed the shutout from the mound, striking out 6 hitters and had no walks. Budd also collected 2 hits at the plate. Elijah Norwood and Ben Decker also had 2 hits. Decker had 4 RBI's to lead the team. Isaiah Norwood and Avery Hoffius each added a hit.
Game 2 started on the tight side with Coldwater striking first, scoring 2 runs in the first inning. The Panthers responded with 3 runs. The junior Panther held a slim 2 run lead going into the last inning and brought 4 more runs across the plate to win 11-5. Ryker Pickell, Aaron Chapko, Zach White, Ben Decker, Isaiah Norwood and Elijah Norwood each had a hit. Chapko started on the mound and tossed 4 innings, striking out 6 with only 1 walk. Elijah Norwood came in to close the game, he had 2 strikeouts.
The junior Panthers host Okemos and Lakewood this Saturday for a round robin invite. Game 1 first pitch is 9:00am with the Panthers facing Okemos.
