The Lady Panthers had a strong showing across the board, with several personal and season bests.
In the sprints, Aykina Weatherspoon led the way with a 3rd-place finish in the 100m (13.38 PR), while AnnaKay Marshall (8th–PR) and Lydia Coleman (12th) also ran well. In the 200m, Marshall placed 5th, and Charlie Damron ran a season-best 29.84.
Ella Wilcox and Damron placed 5th and 6th in the 400m, both setting personal or season bests. In mid-distance, Bertha Quiroga finished 9th in the 800m with a PR, and Natalie Kuhl ran a strong 1600m (5:48.26 PR) and 3200m (13:02.88).
Annie O'Dowd set a PR in the 100m hurdles, and Camryn Boldt placed 7th in the 300m hurdles with a season best.
The relay teams were consistent and competitive, with the 4x100m-Marshall, Coleman, Baker, Weatherspoon (3rd), 4x200m Coleman, Coppernoll, Weatherspoon, Damron (5th), 4x400m Damron, Gough, Weatherspoon, Wilcox (4th), and 4x800m-Quiroga, Wielenga, Wilcox, Kuhl (6th) all finishing in the top six.
In the field events, Miracle Buchanon threw a PR in the shot put (28'6"), and Kaitlynn Knack placed 14th in discus (60'3").
It was a great team effort with strong performances throughout the meet! We’re looking forward to a busy week of competition next week with opportunities for the whole team!
