Western’s men’s track and field team made the trek to Hastings for an Interstate-8 dual meet Tuesday night and beat the Saxons, 122.5 to 37.5.

    On the track Adam Carlson won the 100m, Jackson Jones won the 200m, Ryan Good won the 400m, and Roan VanSumeren won the 800m. Titan Parker won both the 110m and 300m hurdles, and with Jones, William Melton, and Jackson Barnes won the 4x200m relay. Melton, Jones, Jackson Barnes, and Parker Yokom got the win in the 4x100m relay. In the 4x800m relay Seth Good, Trevin Warner, VanSumeren, and Caleb Lynd finished first, while VanSumeren, Ryan Good, Parker, and Isaac Fullerton won the 4x400m relay.

     In the field events, AJ Scutt won the discus, La’zay’vair Akines won the high jump, Carlson won the long jump, and Brennan Vainner won the shot put.
