Game 1 and 2 Vs. Napoleon

The Western Varsity Baseball team started their 2025 campaign with dominant pitching in both contests.  In game 1 Brody Parrott went 5 ⅔ innings collecting 11 K’s giving up zero runs and zero hits.  Justin Chapko came in as a bulldog to finish the contest out. B.Parrott was able to collect 2 RBI’s for the Panthers.  D.J. VanRiper(2B) and Lincoln Levy both collected hits. Andrew Parrott and Cody Spitzer each collected 1 R.B.I. each.   The Panthers showed patience at the plate as they drew up 7 walks.  Once on the basepaths Western stole 6 bases in the game.  The infield was stellar as they turned 2 double plays and made countless routine plays. A. Parrott, B Parrott, Spitzer, Chapko and Luke Herrington each stole 1 base.  

Game 2 

Western 2 Napoleon 0

Western scores a run in the bottom of the 1st to take the lead and not look back.  Andrew Parrott was in complete control on the mound as rang up 12 K’s allowing 2 hits 0 Runs in five innings.  A. Parrott collected 2 hits as Jackson Luke, Jack Mannor, DJ. VanRiper and Brody Parrott each collected 1 hit each.  Western was able to make some moves on the basepaths as A. Parrott and Lincoln Levy each picked up 2 stolen bases.  B. Parrott, Jack Mannor and Luke Herrington each picked up 1 stolen base.  The Panther defense was stellar once again making zero errors in the contest.  Luke was a machine behind the dish as he did not allow a stolen base in either contest and picked 1 off.  The Panthers start the season 2-0 and will look to keep the momentum going as they travel to Charlotte on Thursday for a Double Header.
