The Western girls JV soccer team traveled to Milan Tuesday April 1st to take on Milan. The Panthers started out slow after having a week off for spring break. Keeper Madi Redovich kept them in the first half coming up with multiple saves and only letting one by her to keep the score 0-1 at the half. The Panthers had a few opportunities before the half ended coming up short. The Western girls started the second half like a new team, connecting passes and moving the ball forward creating opportunities to score, Emma Paquin had the first 2 goals with assists from Jillian Barnes and Ceci Greatz. With Lily Kalenchick finishing off the scoring for Western. Milan never sat back and were able to capitalize on the few chances they did get. Finishing the game up one on the Panthers for a final score of Western 3 Milan 4. The Panthers are in action again Thursday April 3rd at home against Mason at 5:00.
