Last night our Lady Panthers travelled to Grand Ledge to take on the Comets. We had a long bus ride there, but we were ready to play and came in with a desire to do well overall, be a threat offensively, and a rebounding threat. With these things in mind we made goals to do each and every one of these things. In the first quarter we led in scoring 14-0. In the second quarter we tried to run a couple of different plays that we executed very well and ended the quarter up 19-6. At the half, we wanted to challenge ourselves as a team. Something we have never done before. We wanted to get every person on our team to score before the end of the game. With this plan we came into the second half excited to see if we could achieve this goal. Right off the bat we were able to get 8/9 players points on the board. From here on we ran our plays, made sure to get open opportunities, and most importantly looked for our last player to score. We ended the third quarter up 27-9. In the last quarter we still had to work to achieve success in our team challenge. We ran new cuts, saw some 3 point chances, and continued to look to our last scorer. In the last 20 seconds of the game....WE SUCCEEDED! All players on our team were able to score, and not only did we contribute point wise, but we left our continuously strong defense, rebounding threat, and offensive skills on the court. Every player gave their all for the good of the team. We ended with a win 39-9. Thank you to everyone who travelled to support us in our last game of the season. We are so thankful to all of the parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, siblings, friends, and families who have supported us this season. We are proud to have you all in the crowd! Go Panthers!
