In the first quarter, we hit the ground running with Ellie Hackworth rebounding and scoring 2 pts along with MadDog Madi Redovich taking the ball strong to the rim and converted 3-6 from the charity stripe.    Shelby Smith continued her consistent play and scored 6.

We won the quarter 11-8

The second quarter was a back and forth affair.  We could not stop their best player and she scored 10 of their 12 points.   Shelby Smith hit a big 3, while Madi Redovich kept going strong and conterted 2 more free throws.  Ellie Hackworth continued to pound the glass and scored another 4 points.  Olivia Sine went strong and scored a bucket as well.  We lost the second quarter11-22 and led at half 22-20.

The second half we made some adjustments on defense and Shelby Smith scored another 2, while Madi Redovich chipped in another 4.  Maycee DeGroat, just coming back from injury scored a basket and gave great effort on defense and on the boards.  I cant say enough about the teamwork we showed on the defensive side.  A’Kierra Sanders continues to be our vocal leader and hustles every play.  Jill Barnes comes in and makes it very hard for the point guard with great on ball defense.  Ava Buckland and Olivia Sines just keep getting better 

We won the game 40-27 and held Marshall to less than half of what they scored in the first half.

This was a total team win. 

We are currently 10-5 and 8-0 in the conference.
