Last night, the lady Panthers took on the Hastings Saxons at home. This is our second time playing this team, and we were excited to play them again to see if we have improved our game. We have been practicing a lot on making accurate passes and effective shots, and we were ready to try this in the game tonight. Our goals were to know who we have on defense, make more shots, and pass accurately so that we don’t get as many turnovers. In the first quarter we were up 6 to 2 in the second quarter we gained more ground by looking for options down low and ended up 14 to 6 at the half our goal was to continue trying to do the three things that we established at the beginning of the game. We were able to do just that. In the third quarter we were up 16 to 8 in the last quarter we were able to keep Hastings from scoring for the entire quarter. Our defense was phenomenal, our shots were precise, and we made the best passes we have made all season. We ended the game 20 to 8. Suzanne St. John scored 14 points. Sylvia Bivens scored four points. Addison Yanovich scored two points thank you to all who came out to support us at home, Come out and cheer us on as we take on Marshall in Marshall on Thursday. Hopefully the snow will hold off so that we can play. Go Panthers!
