8th Grade B Girls Basketball Defeats Lumen

Monday evening the girls welcomed the Titans from Lumen Christi, for the first of 3 home games this week. The game was back and forth and the gym was full of energy. The girls were excited and nervous to play in front of a large crowd. Some quarters were better than others and some moments were better than others. But in the end, the Panthers fought harder, for a close victory. The final score was 25-22.
Ella Hammond really stepped up her game grabbing 7 rebounds, 2 steals and adding 4 points. Kennedi Mohr worked relentlessly on defense to grab 7 rebounds and 3 steals while scoring 5 points. Phoebe Gin did a nice job running the point position scoring 4 points and snagging 4 steals. Natalie Boss made some crucial plays grabbing 4 rebounds and 2 steals. Aniah Parker added 3 rebounds and 12 critical points for the Panthers. Lucero Orozco, Josie Zenker and Maliah Glenn each worked tirelessly on defense and helped with some rebounds and some steals.
The Panthers have a rematch with the Mounties on Wednesday, at home. This matchup has been their only loss, so far this season, and they are looking to redeem themselves.
