7th Grade A Girls Basketball Battled Marshall

The Western Middle School girls played hard against a tough Marshall team on Wednesday night, ultimately coming up short on the scoreboard.
Callie Patterson led the team with 3 points, 8 rebounds, and 3 steals. Alivia Stahley led defensively with 4 steals and added 1 rebound. Morgan Smith chipped in 2 points, 3 rebounds, and 1 steal. Kiyami Eddy contributed 1 rebound and provided steady effort. Zavi Jackson made her presence felt with 4 rebounds and 2 steals. Claire Luke had a strong game with 2 points, 6 rebounds, and 1 steal. Whitney Parker added 2 rebounds and 1 steal while playing solid defense. Gracie Shrock contributed 1 rebound and 1 steal and Breslyn Walniewski worked hard under the basket and gave great effort, showing her all-around contributions.
While the team didn’t come away with a win, every player contributed, and the lessons from this game will make them stronger as they move forward.
