8th Grade A Girls Basketball Defeats Harper Creek

The Lady Panthers took a trip to Battle Creek to take on the Harper Creek Beavers on Monday evening. Our defense started out strong and rattled those Beavers early on in the game. The momentum helped us offensively and once we got settled we never looked back. The final score was 50-35 with so many of the girls really stepping into their roles and coming out on top.
Leading the way was Calley Spitzer with 15 points, 4 rebounds and 3 steals. Right behind her was Teagan Dean with 12 points and 4 steals. Lauren Nally had a game high of 8 points and 2 steals.
Other stats:
Scottlyn Stilson- 6 points, 4 rebounds, 2 steals
Madi Blair and Maddi Sparks each with 3 points
Campbelle Frost and Boston Hoffius with a couple of free throws
Izzy Smith- 5 rebounds and 3 blocks
Kyle Vancalbergh and Peyton Austin with solid defensive stops
We are back in action Wednesday at HOME against Marshall. We are HOME the next 4 games so come check us out Wednesday or next Monday, Wednesday or Thursday. These girls are A LOT of fun to watch! Go Panthers!
