In a game that had fans on the edge of their seats, the 7th Grade B team defeated Hastings 26-17 tonight. The game was a true test of grit and determination as both teams battled fiercely in what was a low-scoring, defensive showdown.

From the opening tip, it was clear that every possession would count. Western’s defense was on full display, with multiple steals and contested shots, making scoring a tough task for Hastings. Despite the challenges, Hastings managed to keep the game close and was within at the end of the 3rd. 

However, Western’s offense began to find rhythm in the 4th quarter. Key baskets in the closing minutes helped to pull Western ahead. 

I'm so proud of how the girls played through the challenges they faced and never gave up.
