The 8th grade B team headed to Mountie Nation Monday night. The players learned about over aggressive defense, and we were happy to come home with all our teeth intact. The game was neck and neck the entire first half, with a halftime score of 10-11. The third quarter, the Mounties pulled ahead by five points and the Panthers could not catch up. The Panthers did NOT let up, through elbows, shoves and slaps they played with grit and heart until the final buzzer.
Final score 27-21. Aniah Parker led the Panthers with 8 points, followed by Kennedi Mohr with 5. Natalie Boss added 4 more, while Phoebe Gin and Lucero Orozco each dished in 2 points. Phoebe Gin led the Panthers with 7 rebounds as Kennedi Mohr grabbed 6. Ella Hammond pulled down 3 rebounds and Haylee Garr snagged 2. Josie Zenker and Jessica London came in and played lights out defense for the Panthers.
