Varsity Boys & Girls Bowling Defeat Northwest

The Varsity boys of Western defeated Northwest after a very close match. The Western Boys in their first game lost to the Mounties 765 to 689. Game 2 the Panthers won with a 907 to 764. That was won with high games from Freshman Ryker Pickell with a 237. Nolan Woodworth bowled a 198. DJ Slawinski of the Mounties also bowled a 193 in game two. When it came time for the baker games one the Panthers won 178 and 116, while Northwest finished with a 106 and a 201 in the baker games. When they finished 15-15 in regulation they went to a one game baker where the Panthers edged the Mounties. Great job boys.
The girls varsity did not do as well, but did keep the games close. They lost their first two full games to the Mounties but not by much. They lost in their first two full games 14104 to 1476, they came back to win their first baker then the game slowly started to slip away. Freshman Kaileigh Stiles let the way for the girls with a 159 and 179, but that was not enough to close out the Mounties. Mya Cablello also joined with a 171. When all was said and done, the girls were defeated 21.5 to 8.5.
The JV one their match as well, they were led by Bryce Thomas with a 214 and led the charge to set back the Mounties of North West. The Mounties of Northwest were defeated 27-3.
