Western Freshman Boys Basketball lost at home to Battle Creek Lakeview on Friday, 34-23.

Colin Savicke led the Panthers with seven points to go with five rebounds, two steals and two blocks.

Despite the loss, Western had one of their better defensive efforts of the season, holding Lakeview to 23% shooting from the floor.  The Panthers also outrebounded Lakeview, 35-28.

Bennett Schultz scored four points and grabbed five rebounds.

Lucas VanRiper scored two points and led Western with seven rebounds.  He also had one assist, one steal and one blocked shot.

Jayce Thurman scored three points, pulled down six rebounds and had one assist and one blocked shot.

Cameron Fullerton scored two points, grabbed three rebounds, collected two steals and a blocked shot.

Nolan Robinson hit a three pointer to go with three rebounds, two steals and an assist.

Trevor Brandt scored two points, took down one rebound and had a steal.

Connor Wrozek handled two offensive rebounds and had a steal.

Broyden Cole grabbed two rebounds and blocked a shot.

Carson Orchard snagged an offensive rebound.

The Panthers fell to 2-5 on the season.  Western hosts Hastings in an I-8 Conference matchup on Tuesday.
