Western JV Lady Panthers were home against Lakeview High School on Friday night.  

In the first quarter we came out a little cold, literally (if you were there you were as well).  We played really well on defense and won the quarter 7-4.

The second quarter we continued executing on offense but could not get a rebound and gave up a lot of second and third chance points.  Gianna Hageman had a big rebound and put back.   We won the quarter 8-7

The third quarter had Shelby hitting 2 free throws and a bucket and Maycee DeGroat finding the bottom of the net.   Still having trouble rebounding, we lost the quarter 4-7.  

The 4^th quarter we had a 1 point lead.  We had some very tired legs because of the 2-2-1 press the whole game.  A heroic effort by Ellie Hackworth with a clutch 3 with seven seconds to go brought the game within one, but we just didn’t have enough time to make up for the rebounding deficit.  We ended up losing the 4^th quarter 9-11.
