Freshman Boys Basketball Battled Tecumseh

Western Freshman Boys Basketball lost at home to Tecumseh on Thursday, 59-20.


 

Colin Savicke led the Panthers with eight points to go with four rebounds, three steals, two blocked shots and an assist.


 

Western couldn’t get shots to fall, going seven for 44 from the field, despite outrebounding Tecumseh, 34-31.


 

Cameron Fullerton scored four points and added three rebounds and a steal.


 

Jayce Thurman scored two points but led the Panthers on the boards with eight rebounds, and also blocked a shot.


 

Trey Payne handled three rebounds and added an assist and a steal.


 

Jefferson Merrild hit a free throw and scored three rebounds to go with an assist.


 

Lucas VanRiper hit a three pointer and snagged a rebound.


 

Trevor Brandt made a free throw, collected three rebounds and nabbed a steal.


 

Nolan Robinson pulled down three rebounds, Knox Archer had two rebounds and Jake Johnston had one rebound.


 

Bennett Schultz hit a free throw and grabbed a rebound.


 

Broyden Cole snagged two rebounds and had a steal.


 

Connor Wrozek and Carson Orchard both played hard on defense and moved the ball on offense.


 

Western now stands at 2-4 on the season.  The Freshman Basketball team plays again on January 3, 2025, at home against Battle Creek Lakeview.
