Western Freshman Boys Basketball lost to Harper Creek on Wednesday, 53-43.
Colin Savicke led the Panthers with 18 points on 6 of 6 shooting from the floor, and 2 of 2 from the free throw line. Savicke hit three 3-pointers, grabbed three rebounds, and had a steal and an assist.
Jefferson Merrild posted his best game of the season with two points, seven rebounds, three assists and a steal.
Jayce Thurman collected six points to go with six rebounds, an assist and a blocked shot.
Broyden Cole chipped in four points, three rebounds and an assist.
Jake Johnston scored two points and grabbed two offensive rebounds and a steal.
Cameron Fullerton scored two points and handled one rebound, one assist and blocked a shot.
Trey Payne handled three rebounds, grabbed two steals and dished an assist.

Western fell to 2-3 on the season. The Western Boys Freshman Basketball team plays again Thursday at home in a rematch with Tecumseh.
