On Thursday the 8(B) boys basketball team took on Marshall. 

The first half was a back and forth game as the Panthers were able to find success against Marshall’s 2-3 Zone. 

In the second half, the shots didn’t fall for the Panthers and Marshall jumped out to a double digit lead. 

Western showed some pride and was able to cut the Marshall lead to 8. 

In the end, even though they fought hard it wasn’t enough as Marshall won 39-26.

Owen Gaughan led the way with 8. Peyton Munz had 7. Wyatt Griswold and Elliott Lopeman added 4 a piece. Colin Niemi with 2 and Dawsyn Baker with 1, respectively. 

The Panthers take on Lumen Christi Monday at WMS.
