The Western Varsity Volleyball team came ready to avenge their season loss to St. Catherine in their first round Regional Semifinal game on Tuesday evening. The Panthers took charge in the first set and came out victorious 25-19.  In the second set, Western struggled with serve receive while having their setter, Becca Brushaber, go down with a twisted ankle, losing 23-25.  The third set, the battle continued and the Panthers found themselves in another heartbreaking loss 23-25. However, Western was not going down that easy and found a .huge spark and some confidence, winning the fourth set by a score of 25-12.  In the final set of the evening, Western went on run and never looked back, picking up the win 15-8.  Congratulations to the team on a hard fought battle and never giving up when the odds were stacked against them.  Go Panthers!

Western will advance to the Regional Final game on Thursday evening at 6:00 at Ann Arbor Gabriel Richard.  Come support and cheer them on as they take on the Tecumseh Indians.
