The Western JV Volleyball team hosted a tri meet on Monday against Williamston and Vicksburg. The Panthers started out the night with the first game against Williamston gaining a 7-0 point lead from the start. The Panthers then started to struggle defensively and lost control of the game and were unable to gain it back, ultimately falling in two sets 23-25 and 15-25. Next, Western faced Vicksburg and came out strong with determination winning 25-20. In the second set the Panthers faced some serving and defensive errors and fell 18-25. Being forced to try a new line up on the spot Western came out for the third set but couldn’t connect the dots to walk away with a win with the final score being 9-15 in Vicksburg’s favor.
