The Panther Varsity Football Team moved their record to 4-1 with a 49-7 dismantling of Coldwater last Friday. After a quick three and out, the Cardinals punted to DJ VanRiper and he took the punt 65 yards for an early score. After that, it was all Panthers. Reed Myers threw for 217 yards on 9 for 12 passing to go with four touchdown passes. Those touchdown passes went to VanRiper, Brody Videto and two more to Maverick Hammond. For the game, Hammond finished with 5 receptions for 101 yards. VanRiper had 2 receptions for 70 yards and an interception on defense. The Panthers defense was suffocating all night, limiting the Cardinals to only 169 total yards on the night. Coby Tripp scooped up a fumble and Luke Bergkoetter finished with 7 tackles. This week, the Panthers come back home for the Homecoming Game vs. Harper Creek. Go Panthers!!
