The Panthers fell to an undefeated Hastings team on Friday, 37-17. The Panthers took a quick 14-0 lead on a Jayden Willis touchdown run and a Jayden Willis return on a Justin Chapko blocked punt. The Hastings Saxons would answer and bring the score to 17-15 at the half. The Saxons would go on to win the second half, stopping the Panthers from scoring and putting 22 more points on the board to finish the game’s scoring. Offensively, Reed Myers led the passing game in his return to action with 8 completions on 16 attempts for 73 yards. Jayden Willis led the rushing attack with 104 yards on 15 carries. DJ VanRiper led all receivers with 4 receptions for 39 yards. Defensively, Cole Archer had 14 tackles to lead the Panther Defense. Noah Berdiner connected on a 20 yard field goal and was perfect on both extra point attempts. This week, the Panthers hit the road again, this time with a matchup against the 2-2 Coldwater Cardinals.
