The Western JV Volleyball competed in their largest tournament yet at Spring Arbor University bringing home another championship! The Panthers started their day strong with a win against Jackson High 25-5. They followed with a win in the second set 25-22. The Panthers then defeated Springport 25-11 and 25-9. The next game was against a talented Northwest. The Panthers lost some of their energy and didn’t play up to their potential but fought hard in the second set ending in a split 20-25 and 26-24. This seeded the Panthers in 3rd place coming out of pool play.
Western was able to regain focus and enthusiasm and took on Hanover Horton for the quarter finals winning 25-17 and 25-17. The Panthers then went on to defeat Homer in the semi finals 25-15 and 25-12. Western faces Columbia Central in the finals coming out ready to work.
