Congratulations to the Western Varsity Volleyball team on winning the SAU Invite!  In pool play, the Panthers went 6–0 by beating I8 rival Northwest 25–12, 25–13. Next, Western took two wins from Jackson High 25–8 and 25–20 and Springport 25–14 and 25–11. This placed them second, in bracket play, to Hanover Horton when all of the points were tallied. In the semi-finals, the Panthers faced off against Concord. They struggled in their first set and fell by a slim margin of 25–27. However, the Panthers decided to take the reins and go full force ahead by winning the next two games 25–12 and 15-8. In the finals, Western came up against the number one seed Hanover Horton . They came out focused and determined, beating Hanover Horton 25-21 and 25–21. Great teamwork today! Also, a special congratulations to JJ Lewis for making the All-Tournament team!
