The Panthers took a big step to getting to 1-0 in the Interstate-8 Conference with a 28-8 win over the Marshall RedHawks. A Brody Videto to Maverick Hammond quick pass got the Panthers out of the gate quickly and gave them a 7-0 start on just the second play of the game. Both teams traded possessions the rest of the half until a DJ VanRiper interception for a touchdown gave the Panthers 14-0 lead. The Panther defense and special teams would respond time and time again with big stops and we were able to flip the field and win the field position game. Videto would hit Hammond with two more touchdown passes in the second half to complete the scoring for the night. The Panthers travel to Hastings this week for a conference showdown with the Saxons.
