JV Football Battled Traverse City Central

The Western Junior Varsity Football team hosted Traverse City Central on Thursday September 5th and could not keep up with the Trojans.  The Panthers were outmatched and plagued by penalties and some key injuries.  Camden Cole carried the ball 19 times for the Panthers and was the leading rusher for the team.  Andrew Parrott picked up 21 yards passing and 20 yards rushing while Easton Jones hauled in three receptions.  Knox Archer and Josh Riley were contributors as ball carriers for the Panthers.  On the defensive side, Charlie Stevens picked up a key interception as Dex Videto, Alex Delor and Morgan Sheldon led the team in tackles.  Max Harris had a great game on the offensive line for the Panthers.  Western’s JV Football team will travel to Marshall on Thursday September 12th.
