Our Freshman team had our second home game of the season Thursday as we battled Traverse City Central, as the first quarter got underway our freshman capitalized on a few TC mistakes and our Freshman found ourselves up 3-0 with a great 30yd field goal from Vincent Keller. As the first half ended we found ourselves down 3-20 due to a few mistakes of our own.
As the second half went on, we found some success moving the ball but couldn’t sustain drives which kept our defense on the field often.
Again the out come wasn’t what we had hoped for, but our Freshman team showed more improvement through this second game with moving the ball better on offense and our defense showed improvements with alignments and tackling was better. All positive signs of how hard the boys are working in practice, we are very proud of the advancements the freshman team is making and they all are working hard with positive attitudes. They are a joy to coach! Our next opportunity will be Thursday vs Marshall.
