Varsity Tennis Defeats Marshall

The Western boys tennis team hosted the Redhawks from Marshall for their first home conference match of the season. The team came away with a 8-0 win! #1 singles sophomore Lucas Parrott was first off the court with a 6-0, 6-0 win. Following Lucas were #3 and #4 singles players Aidan Carter and Jack Spooner with 6-0, 6-0 wins as well. #2 doubles pairing of sophomore Bailee Porter and junior Drew Gillett snuck away with a 6-4, 6-4 win. Lastly, #4 doubles pairing of junior Brayden DeForest and sophomore Alex Davis battled a tight match to get the win 6-4, 7-6 (8-6).
Western will travel to Coldwater on Monday for the second conference matchup.
