JV Football Battles Divine Child
Updated on 11/15/2024

The Western JV Football team traveled to Divine Child on Wednesday evening and came up short in a 26-14 contest.  The Falcons were able to return a kickoff and a punt for touchdowns and that was the difference maker.  The Panthers scored on the first drive of the game and could not punch another one in until the 4th.  The game was hard fought and extremely competitive as the Panthers had drives stall out on the 18 and 1 yard line.  Offensively the Panthers had terrific performances out of Lincoln Levy who recorded two rushing touchdowns and 60 total offensive yards.  Camden Cole was the leading rusher in the contest with 72 yards on 14 carries.  Josh Riley and Knox Archer also did work carrying the ball as the Panthers racked up 164 rushing yards.  Andrew Parrott collected two receptions in the game.

Defensively Byron Bryant picked up 7 tackles including a sack and 2 forced fumbles.  Dexter Videto tallied 5 tackles and 1 fumble recovery.  Alex Delor, Gavin Ethridge, Parrott and Archer each collected 3 tackles. Western JV will be back in action on Thursday, September 5th at home vs. Traverse City Central
