Last night our Freshman Girls Volleyball team played Columbia Central and Pewamo-Westphalia in our season opener Tri on our home court. After putting in a lot of hard work over the summer and in our first week of practice, our panthers were ready to play in their first game together. Our first game was against Columbia Central. Our team missed a lot of serves, seven to be exact, so we had a rough go at gaining those points back from this team. We lost both sets (25-27 and 17-25), but fought really hard to win the first one. we ended up losing both sets to Columbia. Next we played Pewamo-Westphalia. we were able to hone in on our serves and steal a win from that team we won both sets (25-12 and 25-17). Some honorable mentions from last night:

Peyton Miskowski had 6 kills

Chloey Berkeypile had 5 aced serves

Lakelee Ojeda had 4 kills 

Ryleigh Wellman had 7 kills 

While Chloe and Addisyn Brown tied for assists at 7 each!
