The PantHERs made their voyage to Kenowa Hills this weekend for the MHSAA regional competition.  There were 9 gymnasts qualified to represent Western, but unfortunately due to an illness, they were down a top scorer. Even though they were down one gymnast, their spirits were high and they rallied for their teammate.

Their efforts led 3 gymnasts to qualify for the State Competition next Saturday! Those gymnasts are:

Kara Boyer: Floor

Taylor Paquin: Floor and Vault

Hannah Whiting: Bars and Beam

There were also several pantHERs making their regional debut: Jayna Zenker, Lillian Coppernoll, and Zoe Ruiz. Other notable performances include Sophie Robinson’s stuck beam routine and Anna Brewer’s smooth and fluid bar routine!

The panthers scored 128.9 landing them in 7th place. The team is motivated for off season training, but first- Let’s cheer on our 3 Panthers headed back to Kenowa Hills next weekend for the MHSAA Gymnastics Finals!
