In a riveting rematch between the Panthers and the Lumen Christi Titans, the 7th-grade girls’ B teams faced off last night. Coming off a victorious encounter against the Titans last week, the Panthers found themselves in a challenging position this time, succumbing to a 20-14 defeat.

The game unfolded with both teams exhibiting strong defense, but the Panthers struggled to find their rhythm offensively.

Peyton Austin and Kennedi Mohr led the scoring for the Panthers with 5 points each, showcasing their ability to navigate through the Titans’ defense and find opportunities to score. Mohr’s impressive tally of 8 rebounds and 3 steals also highlighted her all-around contribution to the team’s efforts. 

Aniah Parker’s contribution of 1 point, 5 rebounds, and 1 steal, alongside Charlotte Walz’s 3 points, 2 rebounds, and 2 steals, added depth to the Panthers’ performance.

Josie Zenker’s tenacity was on full display last night and she was a force on the court, with 2 rebounds and 3 steals. The rest of the team fought valiantly, with Ella Hammond, Bethany Julian, Natalie Boss and Ella Brandt securing crucial rebounds and steals,  reflecting the team’s collective effort to turn the tide of the game.

Our record sits at 5 – 2 as we enter the final week of the season. Our 4-game week begins next Monday at home, against Coldwater.
