BOYS BOWLING ·

The Panther bowling teams headed to Char Lanes to take on Eaton Rapids in their final regular season match before the varsity teams head off to regionals tomorrow and Thursday.

The Varsity boys put away Eaton Rapids early in the regular games and cruised to a comfortable 28-2 win in the match.  Senior Buster Marr led the way in game 1, shooting 243 with 8 straight strikes in the middle of his game.  He was joined in game 1 by Austin Ball, shooting a solid 173 in game 1.  Game 2 saw great bowling across the board, highlighted by Nolan Woodworth’s 198.  He was joined by Reed Vallie (185), RJ Schafer (180), Silas York (170) and John Prater (167).

The Varsity girls were a little shorthanded tonight, but bowled well in their match against the ladies from Eaton Rapids.  Madason McDonald started off the night in game 1 pacing the Panthers with a team leading 156 and earning a point in game 1.  Kiley Bieske joined her with a 136, nabbing a second point on the night as well.  In game 2, Bieske followed up with a 130 and earning a second point for the Panthers on the night, and she was joined by Mya Caraballo’s 136, earning a fourth point for the Panthers.  Unfortunately the ladies couldn’t get the pins to fall their way, losing the match 26-4.

The Varsity teams head to Royal Scot tomorrow for regional single competition, with each team seeking to place bowlers in the top 7 to advance to the  State singles tournament, and then head to City Limits in Mason for their team competition, where they vie to be in the top 2 to head to the State team competition that next week.
