The Freshman ended their season tonight with a quad meet at home against I-8 rivals Northwest, Pennfield and Hastings. They started their night going against Northwest with a new 5-1 rotation. The Panthers would struggle with passing and communication that led to them dropping the first set 20-25. Western would get their passing under control and get aggressive at the service line. Winning the next two sets, 25-12, 15-7. Next the Panthers would compete against Pennfield. New line up changes would make it hard for Western to get in a rhythm, dropping both sets 17-25, 15-25. Determined to end their season on a high note, they would come back strong against Hastings. Western would dominate the net and increase their communication, all the while staying positive when errors occurred. This would lead to the final victory of their season. Beating Hastings in two straight sets, 25-17, 25-15. The Freshman team would end their season 28-12. Great work this season.
