The Panthers battled throughout the night, holding Coldwater to 14 points in the first half and just 8 in the second. With the return of their Division II college quarterback, the Cardinals returned to their passing attack. The Panthers’ defense adjusted well and delivered a strong second-half performance. James Harris provided a major momentum swing in the first half with a blocked punt that gave the Panthers excellent field position. Harris also turned in a big performance on defense, alongside Dexter Videto and Alex Delor, as several Panthers stepped up and made key plays throughout the game. Offensively, Brody Parrott ran hard all night and broke off several big runs that helped put the Panthers in position to compete. The offensive line played a huge role in creating opportunities in the running game, with breakout performances from Morgan Cameron and Dawsyn Baker. Lincoln Levy also connected with Logan Young on a huge touchdown pass in the third quarter to get the Panthers within two scores and keep them in contention. Despite several big plays and a continued effort from the team, the Panthers were unable to close the gap. In the end, Coldwater made more plays on its senior night to secure the victory. The Panthers showed resilience, made important adjustments, and had several players step up in key moments, but ultimately came up short. This senior class will be remembered for its ability to compete and persevere through tough circumstances. Beyond football, these young men have demonstrated qualities that will serve them well long after their playing days are over. It has been an honor to have them lead this program, and we look forward to seeing the great husbands and fathers they will become.
