Parma Western battled a tough Cadillac team from up north Friday night, falling 20-12 in a game that came down to the final minutes. After a scoreless first half, the Panthers continued to battle and put themselves in position to make a comeback late in the game. Lincoln Levy finished 7-of-19 passing for 122 yards and a touchdown, connecting with Logan Young on a huge early third-quarter touchdown to give Western momentum. Young led the Panthers through the air with five catches for 89 yards, including the big touchdown grab. Joel Toyer added a 15-yard reception, while Parker Yokom contributed an 8-yard catch. On the ground, Brody Parrott led the way with 80 yards on 16 carries and came through with a huge fourth-quarter touchdown to cut the Cadillac lead to 20-12 and give the Panthers a chance late. Camden Cole added 12 yards on four carries, Young contributed 23 yards on seven attempts, and Levy rushed for 17 yards on five attempts. Defensively, Alex Delor, Dexter Videto, Knox Archer, and Cam Fullerton all turned in strong performances against a quality Cadillac offense. The defense helped keep Western within striking distance throughout the night and gave the Panthers an opportunity to make a late push. The Panthers have now played five teams with winning records, and Friday's game was another example of this team competing against a strong opponent until the final whistle. Now the focus turns to finishing. There are no moral victories, and the Panthers aren't satisfied with coming close. But there are plenty of reasons to believe this team is capable of taking the next step. The fight is there. The toughness is there. The opportunity is there. Now it's about finding a way to finish.
