Freshman competed in a home Tri meet against Loy Norrix and Eaton Rapids and came away with a pair of wins. The first match against Loy Norrix was back and forth on every point but miscommunication and missed serves from the Panthers allowed Loy Norrix to take the 1st set 25-23. Western would continue to struggle with communication and serving but would rally in the 2nd set to win 26-24. The 3rd set didn't see much change for the Panthers as they struggled to find their voices but never gave up. Winning the final set 15-13. Next Western would take on Eaton Rapids. Communication increased and the Lady Panthers took the lead early. Capitalizing on their serves and aggressive defense to win the first set 25-14. The Panthers played well as a team in the next set and got to run their new rotation. Winning the 2nd set 25-13. Very proud of the how these athletes fought though their struggles tonight on the court and didn't give up on each other.
