The JV football team played the Saxons of Hastings Thursday night in an anticipated match up of two really good teams. The Panthers drew first blood on the opening kick off when Dom Galloway scored on a 65 yd return to pay dirt. The Saxons of Hastings were tough and went up 14 - 6 at the half.. The Saxons scored in the 3rd quarter to go up 20- 6. From there it was all Panthers. The stingy defense led by Dom Galloway, Charlie Adams, Jacob Kubish, and Liam Bryant forced some turn over on downs, Jett Archer scored on a Sweep to make the score 20-12. Then after nice catch from archer to the 5 yd line, Khree Benson scored from 5 yds out on the next play. Ethan Harris, connected with Charlie Adams for the 2 pt conversion to tie things up at 20. On the following drive Charlie Adams forced a fumble and Lucas Levan recovered the fumble to give Western a chance for a huge come from behind win. Harris who was solid at QB all night hit Galloway for a 30 yed gain, and then with 8 seconds on the clock, hit Jett archer from 35 yards out on the last play of the game to give the JV Panthers a last second 26-20 come from behind victory.. The offensive and defensive line played outstanding. The Panthers travel to Cadillac next Thursday. Great Job guys!!! Keep Grinding!!
