Western Middle School Cross Country Teams Take Third at I8 Jamboree Both Western Middle School Cross Country Teams placed third in the I8 Jamboree at Harper Creek on Tuesday. Joshua Irvin (7th) finished second overall in the Boys race with a time of 12:14.81, leading the Panthers to 66 team points, just four points behind Coldwater who finished second. Ben Hammond (8th) ran a 13:37.61 to finish 11th, and Wesley Nierer (8th) took 14th with a time of 13:53.58. Titus Clanton (8th) came in at 14:03.71 to finish 17th, and Sam Decker rounded out the Western scoring by taking 22nd with a time of 14:23.02. For the Girls, Laila Rotich (8th) ran a season-best 14:29.69 to take fourth place overall. Adalynn Newton (8th) came in 7th with a time of 15:18.31. Abigail Jacobson (7th) claimed 26th place with a time of 17:38.47. Kylie Burroughs (7th) ran a personal best time of 18:26.33 to finish 39th overall. Tessa Wyman (8th) finished the scoring for Western by taking 45th place at 19:24.44.
